Teresa (Naphatraphee) Um is an award-winning Thai-Korean jazz composer, arranger, and guitarist specializing in contemporary large ensemble writing. Her work has earned international honors, including the ISJAC Fundamental Freedoms Commission, the ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award, the Ravinia Bridges Composition Competition Prize, the IAWM Portland Jazz Composers Ensemble Prize, and multiple DownBeat Student Music Awards.
